The Brief
To celebrate the birth of a record-breaking litter of 13 guide dog puppies the largest in three years Guide Dogs wanted to capture the joy and public interest surrounding their arrival. Each pup was affectionately given a bakery-themed name, from Pretzel to Custard, inspiring the nickname “The Baker’s Dozen.”

The Challenge
Photographing 13 lively, newborn puppies in one frame required both patience and precision. Our photographer worked closely with Guide Dogs staff, following strict welfare guidelines and adapting to the unpredictable nature of young animals.
