Bringing a Powerful Story to Life

When Birmingham-based PR agency Leopard & Co reached out for support on a video project, we were excited to help tell the inspiring story of StreetVet, a charity providing veterinary care to the pets of homeless individuals. Backed by MSD Animal Health, a leading veterinary pharmaceutical company, the campaign aimed to highlight the charity’s work while raising awareness of donated year-round tick and flea treatment. Our role was to capture authentic moments on film, ensuring the video could be used effectively across media and digital platforms.

With presenter Julia Bradbury at the forefront of the campaign, we travelled to Cornwall to document real-life stories of pet owners benefiting from StreetVet’s services. One particularly moving moment featured a woman whose pet required life-saving surgery, an expense of around £3,000, fully covered by StreetVet. The day was filled with heartfelt interactions, dedicated StreetVet staff in action, and a deep dive into the impact of their work in local communities.

Seamless Production & Rapid Turnaround

Coordinating a production of this nature required careful planning and agility. Given the fast-paced nature of the campaign, we implemented a same-day turnaround strategy to ensure timely content delivery. Our team worked efficiently on location, while footage was sent in real time to an editor in London, allowing post-production to begin before we had even returned from Cornwall. This streamlined approach kept all stakeholders aligned and maximised efficiency.

While media coverage is always influenced by external factors, the video became a valuable asset for both StreetVet and MSD Animal Health, enhancing their outreach and digital presence. It reinforced the importance of persistence in charity PR: every piece of content plays a role in ongoing awareness efforts, even if immediate media traction varies.

Keys to Charity Campaign Success

This project provided valuable insights into maximising impact when working with charities on video campaigns. Early strategic planning is essential: aligning with media schedules can enhance opportunities for coverage. Collaborating with a dedicated PR agency like Leopard & Co helped maintain strong communication between partners, ensuring the campaign’s message remained clear and compelling.

Above all, this project highlighted the undeniable power of storytelling. By capturing genuine moments and sharing the work of StreetVet in a compelling way, we contributed to a campaign with lasting influence. Working with experienced production teams, planning strategically, and understanding the media landscape are key to meaningful visual content.

Through collaboration, efficiency, and a commitment to impactful storytelling, this project demonstrated how powerful visuals can amplify the incredible work of charities like StreetVet.
