The Brief

Amazon set out to launch the largest fleet of electric heavy goods vehicles ( eHGVs) in its global network and tell that story through powerful, sustainability-led visuals. Working directly with Hunt & Gather, PA Media Assignments was commissioned to bring the project to life capturing the rollout with a hero convoy crossing the Humber Bridge at sunrise and creating content designed to secure strong national media attention around this major step in Amazon’s decarbonisation journey. We delivered a full suite of video, photography and drone footage to support Amazon’s sustainability narrative and nationwide coverage.

Challenge & Solution

This was a highly complex production involving eight electric HGVs, a 10-person crew, drone teams, and the need to capture a single sunrise moment with absolute precision. After a late change in filming location, we rebuilt the plan, secured specialist drone permissions, and coordinated a tightly timed convoy from Leeds to the Humber Bridge. When real-time conditions threatened to derail the sunrise brief, the team made a decisive call to adjust the schedule and proceed straight to the bridge enabling two perfectly executed passes. Through precise coordination, rapid decision-making, and seamless communication across all moving parts, our team delivered the exact hero shots the client envisioned.

Results

The project delivered spectacular sunrise imagery and video of the eHGV convoy crossing the Humber Bridge, perfectly matching the client’s creative vision. We produced a full suite of drone footage, video and stills to support Amazon’s press strategy, ESG storytelling and social content. The launch achieved blanket national media coverage includingBBC, ITVand extensive online and print pickup throughAPA journalist Alan Jonesand generated strong engagement across LinkedIn and other social platforms. The success of the campaign has led to plans for ESG award submissions in 2026 with Hunt & Gather, while also supporting Amazon’s wider sustainability rollout, which includes 800 new electric vans and expanded on-foot deliveries as part of its commitment to a net-zero logistics future.
