The Brief
Dyson commissioned PA Media Assignments to provide photography across two major product launches taking place in Paris and Berlin over four days. The Paris event saw James Dyson unveil a new toothbrush, while the Berlin event focused on Jake Dyson presenting the next generation of Dyson products. Following a smaller project with Dyson the previous year, this assignment was significantly larger in scale, requiring one photographer to travel between both cities and cover two separate evening events. Our role was to deliver strong editorial photography that clearly showcased the new products, key spokespeople and atmosphere of each launch, while supporting media coverage around the announcements.
Challenge & Solution
With two international shoots taking place across four nights, the project required careful logistical planning and a photographer who could work confidently with limited lead time. Information was still being finalised close to the events, so we selected an experienced photographer who could work independently, adapt quickly and perform well under pressure. Our team managed the travel and briefing process, ensuring the photographer had everything available before each shoot while remaining flexible as details evolved. Across both events, the focus remained on producing clean, editorial-ready photography that clearly presented the products and supported the wider launch stories.
Results
The photography successfully supported coverage of both launches, with the Paris toothbrush announcement attracting particularly strong media interest. PA Media Assignments imagery achieved both print and online pick-up in The Guardian, helping extend the reach of the product story.
