The Brief
In July, for the fourth consecutive year, the PA Media Assignments’ photography team were commissioned to cover the Young Artists' Summer Show at the Royal Academy of Arts in London. This year saw the fifth instalment of the exhibition, which displays a selection of works by young artists aged 4-19 years old from across the UK, chosen by a panel of judges including Royal Academicians and RA Schools students. This year over 21,200 entries were received from 3,459 registered schools.

The Solution
Many of our photographers have experience working in a gallery space and know the tricks required to bring a piece of art to life, this is usually done by incorporating a person within the framing and with the right type of lighting to combat the bright gallery lights. We got 11 pictures out on the PA Wire, which is a sure-fire sign that the content is going to be of interest to the Wire customers.

The Results
The artwork by the talented young artist’s usually garner a good amount of attention in the press and this year, we were pleased to see at least 10 pieces of print coverage the following day, including titles such as Daily Telegraph, The Times, The Guardian, The i and The Yorkshire Post.
